who dey!

greta likes to go all out when accessorizing. especially for bengals games. otto, on the other hand, prefers a minimalist approach. the only accessory he needs is his thumb.

Who Dey - Bengals 2009

Today is the home opener for the Cincinnati Bengals... and with a new season hope springs eternal! Greta won't be attending the game with us, but that doesn't mean she's not just as excited...

Here is Greta singing the Bengals fight song (Age 23 months), and for those that need subtitles, these are the words to the song.

"Here he comes a growlin', mean and angry
Here he comes a prowlin', lean and hungry
An offensive brute, run pass or boot
and defensively he's rough, tough.
Cincinnati Bengals, that's the team we're going to cheer to victory
Touchdown Bengals, put some points up on the board and win a game for Cincinnati.

Who Dey think gonna beat them Bengals..... .NOBODY!"

Keeping Hope Alive

The race is on...what will happen first...

1)  The Bengals get their first win of the year,
2)  I successfully teach Greta to say 'Who Dey'.

So far the Bengals look like they don't even know how to spell football.

As for Greta, I can get her to point to a Bengal head when I say "where is the Bengal".  Next step is to get her to respond "Who Dey" when I say "What does the Bengal say"....

Place your bets.

Sunday Afternoon

How was your Sunday afternoon? This is how Greta and I felt after the game:

The cousins tried to help, but all she could do is sleep... that's what she does when she's depressed...

Game Day

So yesterday was gameday for the Bengals. So Greta got on her gear...

And then she headed on out to her First Tailgate for about 30 minutes...

And what was the result? A Bengals Victory!!!

Mary Lou 1-0 - Who Dey

Mary Lou was able to pull the Bengals through a tough one last night. The Bengals won 27-20 over the Ravens in Mary Lou's first regular season NFL game.

I am pretty sure she enjoyed it thoroughly, and she's anxiously awaiting attending her first game where she'll be able to actually SEE the game, instead of just hearing it.
