a few times this summer, we've dropped joe off at work in olde montgomery and then headed to swaim park to play before heading home. we love this park!
spent some time outside yesterday, enjoying the weather and one of the handful of parks we can easily walk to from our house. greta calls it the highway park because it's right off of the exit ramp from 471. it was also a big deal (in my opinion) because we are in the midst of potty training, and this park is a good walk from our house. more on the adventures of potty training later, but let's just say all was well....we made it there and back safe and sound (and dry).
had the best time at the park on saturday afternoon with the nawroths (janet, brent, and ella) and meg and addie. what made it such a fun time? maybe the fact that brent played with the girls so the mommies and babies got to just hang out on the blanket. maybe it was the fantastic weather...or the birthday cake janet brought for me....or quite possibly it was that we got to eat pizza. which makes greta the happiest girl on the playground.
It is a beautiful day on Otto's first full day home, so we headed out to Sawyer point... Otto slept the whole time while Greta played... I think that's going to be pretty much standard for at least the next month or so..
It's finally warm AND sunny. And we took the opportunity to head out to the park for lunch and a little fun. Greta found a slide and some stairs to climb to go back down and she did it over and over and over.
She also provides just a bit of color commentary in the video about how cool Mama is in her sunglasses.
