halloween eve

twas the night before halloween.....
and our friends the burkholders invited us over for a halloween get-together. i have to say, it was the most fun i've had in a long while. it was so cute to see all the kids in their costumes. the food was delicious. and the company was by far the best part. the "bigger" kids played in the basement almost the entire time, which was a fun change for all of us i think. thanks so much holly and jesse for hosting us....we all had a really fun time!

pajama dance party

after otto's birthday party, our friend gavin came over to play for a little bit before bedtime. all three kids were in their pajamas, so we had a quick pajama dance party before putting them all to bed. music was courtesy of the 'yo gabba gabba' guitar....and all the action shots i tried to take of the kids dancing came out blurry! thanks gavin for coming over!

diggin' our friends

this past weekend, we had a gathering of some friends at our house. our friends jesse and holly and their children just moved to cincinnati, and we wanted to have a grill out to have them over and introduce them to some of our other friends. it was so much fun....the weather was perfect and we were able to be outside for most of the evening. and judging by how dirty all the kids were at the end of the evening, i think it's safe to say they had fun too. nothing like two gardening tools and a yard full of dirt to keep kids occupied. these are the only pictures i took, but they pretty much sum it up (except for the fact that greta's new buddy owen is somehow missing from the photo).

burger farm

after the busy day on saturday, sunday morning we decided at the last minute to meet up with the gillards at burger farm to pick pumpkins. it was another gorgeous fall day and greta (and otto) had so much fun. greta and gavin enjoyed seeing some farm animals, riding a pony, and playing some carnival games. we also took a tractor ride out to the pumpkin patch. thanks stacy, scott, and gavin for inviting us along!

playdate

gavin came over for a playdate on friday. we had lots of fun playing, napping, eating, and clapping (check out the video for evidence of clapping on cue). thanks gavin for a fun day....

playmates

recently i watched gavin for a for a few hours, and he and greta had a great time together. at first they literally played on opposite sides of the room. but after naps and some food, they realized they could "share" toys.
