Memphis - Stop #1

Greta was a trooper... sleeping for almost the whole way... stopping to eat only one time.

We made it to Memphis around 4:30 PM and heading to Sun Studios to check out the birthplace of rock and roll (Elvis recorded his first song in this studio). Unfortunately the folks at Sun didn't realize how cool Greta was as they wouldn't let her on the tour. Oh well.. maybe in four more years we can return and Greta will get to check it out.

By the way.. Sun Records has nothing on Cincinnati's own King Records... Cincy really needs to do something similar here. Was a cool tour, and a nice piece of memphis history.

We then drove around Memphis for like an hour going to like three BBQ places, first one was too crowded, second one was closed, third one we couldn't find parking... so then we went back to the first - Central BBQ. Very good, but we pushed our luck and Greta had a melt-down after a long day, so we packed it in and took the rest back to the hotel to finish... she was very glad to be at the hotel and get ready for bed!
