houston, we have a carseat!

the baby can officially come now. joe put the carseat in our car yesterday. this was becoming a major battle between the two of us. i wanted it in, mainly just to be able to cross one more thing off my list of things to do before the baby comes. and of all the things on the list (hang a curtain, pack slippers in hospital bag, etc), the carseat seemed like a pretty high priority. joe, on the other hand, thought he would just wait until AFTER the baby was born to put the carseat in. he figured he'd be "bored" hanging out at the hospital with the baby and me, and what better time to sneak away and install the carseat.

i don't know how i won this battle, but i did.

and all day today i've been looking back to the backseat at that carseat and smiling. i can't believe there is a CARSEAT in our car. soon there will be a baby in it. now i just need to pack my slippers for the hospital and we'll be all set.

Yeah! Mel. Good job Having the carseat in well before is a good thing. you can see how things will fit around the baby like food and all the different things you haul when you go somewhere. you can get used to taking the seat in and out of the base. Now all you have to do is make sure you remember the bag when going to the hospital.

I'm guessing that there wasn't a clear "winner" in this epic battle but perhaps it's more like the river and the rock. Over time, the river will always win.
